Ran into a problem... I have aquired a mk4/5 handbrake cable, but it's very similar to the mk3 one and has a identical bit that's on the end.
And i have a ST150 rear disk setup but i need a handbrake cable that fits and has like a hook or square on the end. Any suggestions?

I'm pretty sure my mate used MK4 handle and cable, unless he modded the cable, I'll double check

Yeah on the end of both of my cables there is a very small thread used to ajust the little bit on the end. So if i took that off i might be able to put a hook on or something

you could make a hybrid of the two cables mk3/4/5 front part and st rear part
or use a frp cable

Ah fair enough, can't find any on ebay, so i'll have a look down fords later. Can't imagine the puma one being cheap though, so i'll look at the ST one

it is an odd size when most other things are 17mm, i had that problem with the transmission bearer being 18mm lol.

if your brave enough to grindit let us know the out come as I im unsure whether to do mine as i dont want to gring the metal away by accident lol

Just ran into another problem. Tried test fitting the rear disk conversion and the bolts don't line up. The top 2 do, but the bottom 2 don't. And there is no room for me to drill and adapt as the disk hubs are much bigger than the mount on the beam... HEEEELP

iirc the frp cable is a basterdisation of a puma and focus cable pumabuild / speed will stock them wont cost much more than any other cable really

.....youll be needing a mk5/ZS beam for those. the spacings changed. you can mod a mk 3 beam..its a case of how much do you want to mess about with it to make it fit. use a later beam and it will bolt straight on.
