well stripped the back end of the car to inspect the damage after the wheel bearing failed, and its totally destroyed the bearing, and cracked the back drum too

so, new brake drums, shoes, and wheel bearings for the back, as well as a new set fo GAZ coilovers I bought , as the AVO ones require a overhaul,. Picked all the new parts today, so get them fitted tomorrow in time for our regional day next week

Just when I thought i was finished spending money on the car too :doh: :lol:

Guys Ill be at Ford Fair on Sunday, driving on track in 4 sessions , first one being at 10:40 and the rst in the afternoon

the car will be on the Fast Ford Stand along with my mates grey 2i with the supercharged 2 litre zetec, pop along and have a chat

Saw your car yesterday mate and me and meilack came into the pits about 4 and saw ya, got a piccy!

Must say i love the paintjob on it and was impressed by the sound and performance on the track :thumbsup:

Makes me real jealous, would love to have a track day with a great fiesta again :chill:

we never made the Fast Fod stand as we where having issues with the grey XR , so we worked on that . In the afternoon, too hectic to even go to the stand , we where in the track area all day

Mint Si cheers mate, first time at Silverstone, and its a mighty trcak very challenging to go round quicly, I spun the car 360 degrees at the chicane at the main grandstand , scared the poo out my girlfriend

Mole you caught me at the worst time, trying to make the last session, but nice meeting both you and Meillack

Thanks guys

Ive now relised that the part thats holding me back is defo the gearbox,still couldnt get into 5th at Silverstone so Ive just done a 767 mile round trip from just outside Glasgow, to North London to pick up a close ratio Quaiffe straight cut gearbox with ATB diff, and 4.5 final drive

Im hoping this will be the final part of the jigsaw to make the car really fly

Im opening up the box on Monday nite at my mates garage, ( he has the 5th gear puller) for inspection, before putting it in the car, Ive got the car booked on at a track day at Knockhill on the 23rd August, ll let yous know how i get on

Ill post pics of the gearbox showing the gears and ratios on Monday nite.

I took the end case off to inspect that 5th gear was a stright cut gear , and has the Quaiffe part numbers on , which it has, before parting with my hard earned cash, really cant wait to try it in the car, if its what the guys promised it is, the car will be mega

Was out a test drive in the Fiesta down our own wee private test track, and the quaife box is unbelievable, totally transformed the car, I came out of it shaking :o :o :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

The noise and the acceleration from the car is just incredible, Im still shaking , and that was 45 minutes ago, :lol:

I also got my ECU sent down to Weber Alpha for some ammendments to it, and Im nowe using the ECU to drive the V V T ( variable valve timing) on the car, and its made some difference to how it performs, car is soo much quicker , and throttle responce is brilliant

Roll on Sunday at Knockhill to I have a proper go in the car , cannae wait, Im excited and nervous all at the same time :lol:

Car was going well today at knockhill, but very wet and very slippery

Last session of the day , and I hit oil at the fastest bit of the circuit , and crashed the car, not too serious, will be repaired, going to the body shop tomorrow, looks a lot worse in the photos

No injuries guys, good looks stil intact , so thats the main thing :lol: :lol:

My mate Gordon was in the car for the first time too, and hes OK as well, Im sure its his first and last time in the car :lol:

A good friend of mines coming to see the car tomorrow , see about pushing the roof back up, and repairing the passenger side, as said , it does look bad, but Ill have a good look at it tomorrow, couldnt face it tonite, but dont think its too bad, just cosmetic damage I think,
