Any warranty on the refurb or not? Checked everything else I take it? Would be cheaper to get a refurb, but I don't know why it would have gone already

When Jamie did my springs he said it was leaking, and now its knocking it is confirmed.

Will email gaz in the morning and see what they say, will dig out the invoice and see if there was a warranty of if they will do me a deal as a "valued" customer? :lolz:

There £160 for a new one, would be £120 this coilover owes me and if it goes again £180. But if it doesn't go again i've saved money and either way i'll always have that initial £60 i've spent refurbing it. hmmm :(

haha looking good now

one note though is its sad how mk4/5's dont like going low, think they made the struts too long or the strut tops too high, something i didnt like about my mk4, was 60mm and was still only as low as this mk3 on 30mm springs :P which is odd


as people said though the tyres are very easy to spot now, im amazed they dont rub lol, must be very stiff

im interested in knowing the handling difference too


does look great :D

Handling is awesome actually, so much better. Feels a lot more confident.

Only problem being the rear is a bit too low now so thats scrubbing on the slightest bump :lol: Ah well, just put it up a bit when I can be arsed.

Touring cars are decked and stiff as fook, so i can see wht ut should handle well, only thing that might give you jip is bumpy roads as it did in my Si and that is mega stiff.

Things it still feels pretty comfy :) obviously hit a big rnoygh bump you know it. But small bumps and knobbly roads its not bad at all. I love it! Lol

Touring cars are a whole different story lol, they are designed to go on smooth race circuits running slicks lol, take one of them on the road and it probably wouldnt be the same, especially down a shitty bumpy one.

Coilovers are a funny thing, the stiffer they are, the smoother the ride can be - sometimes. You just gotta find the happy medium of them now, wont take much :)

One thing - makes the backs soft, will improve the smoothness of the ride :)

I know touring cars are a different story but the concept is still the same. Being low and stiff is better on smooth roads but bumpy roads its not.

A softer front to the back is better for traction off the line so if you got any timed rns at any events give it a try.
