few more bits arrived last week - head bolts and new valve spring seats!

ive had a phone call and my head is ready for collection, so that'll mean its been given a clean bill of health and is ready for use again :D

hoping to get the bottom end out over the Easter bank holiday weekend, but that all depends on workload!

i have less than a month to get it running for central day :shock: :lol:

the actuator broke when i was on my way down so lee whipped it off and fixed it FOC - but as mine is the other side to most cars he had to take the turbo off :doh: - when i got there he wasn't happy with the low down mappying so he was mapping it with me driving but i needed to go :lol:

cold start needs tweaking
and when you are foot down - change gear - foot down - it hesitates a bit

but he said he wanted me to drive it - see if there are any issues as he prefers 3D graphs while mapping and the kms fuel ecu doesn't do that :lol: - and he will sort it FOC when he knows my issues so i am ringing later ;)

managed to find a day free this weekend to do some work to the cossie!

the plan was to remove the bottom end, clean the sump out and refit! it didnt quite go to plan and i totally forgot to order the sump gasket and sump half moons :doh: :banghead: , so the bottom end is just pissing in the wind infront of my saph :lol:

good new is there was nothing found in my sump, so where all those tappet bits have gone shall remain a mystery :look:

I swear cossie engines are piss easy to remove? Every thread I've seen with a cossie engine, it just gets taken in and out like no big deal :lol:

While the engine is out, get in the bay with a toothbrush and get cleaning. I want to see that sparking fresh lol
