i just thought the boot and floor were thicker than that lol

iv used 1.5mm sheet to do my sills and i doubled it at that lol

that mk3 beam sits nice on there mate
them arches and wheels make me sex wee abit

Rear beam is Jams old beam, its reinforced with box section in the V part, making it stiff as fooook
Powdercoated in black chrome silvery stuff :lol:

I shall most likely be getting the other underside parts powdercoated the same :)

My welding is shocking, that one above was a cockup due to cutting the plate too small, so ended up having to build the weld up to fill the gap I made, and I was blowing holes like a right twat :lol:

Reet as I'm bored at work I'll tell you what the plans are...

I'm skint till payday (as I'm going to Sonisphere next weekend and have just spent £100 on brakes for the scrote!)

Once payday arrives I shall be ordering some more gas for the mig, and will continue my hilarious efforts at welding the shell, and will also start seam welding :)

Been thinking, might change my plan for this car... eg. No cage, have a perfect interior and seats lol

Then it can be a decent daily car with a decent bit of power...

Been looking at rs turbos etc that keep the interior, and a mint interior I do love!

Way I see it, it'll still be shit hot, just not caged. Like most rs turbos, focus St, focus rs etc

Spose, can still cage it with all the interior, maybe not the back seats but its still a good daily? :) I use mine daily with no back seats.. :lol: I'd have a cage if I could too

Either way the interior doesn't way a hell of a lot that'll be noticable when you've got a lot of power I guess :)

i like! im a lober of a good interior too

some sportKa leathers are gorgous and would set it off nicely

do you already have a 170 engine yet?

if not can you not be convinced to run a RS turbo engine instead? be easier in the tight space and will give similar power after a 165 stage, zetec ka's are quite commonly done these days, not too many RST ka's :D

thats what id do :)

either way im liking the interior option, cages have no use on the road, unless your an awful driver haha
