All depends now, I need a different turbo lol.

So for now it isnt a priority.. but I can still get my other bits sorted and decide what I want to do eventually.

Bits I would need:

megasquirt, which I was purchasing at some point anyway
wideband sensor, again needed anyway to use megasquirt which was my plan anyway
injectors, which even if I dont use, mark can use them on his 2.1 turbo engine, so no loss there
few ic pipes, which isnt a great deal cost wise
timing belt kit, which again I was getting due to needing it doing desperately before it snaps
turbo, will prob get an escort t3 to keep it simple.. although i'd use anything t3 size, as im not afraid to mod things to fit, as that was my plan with the audi turbo!

bits I have:
obviously the 1.8 RS1800 engine (129bhp in current form)
intercooler, I have an Audi 1.8T IC, which had 150bhp standard so that will do.
fuel pump, again Audi 1.8T one.. interesting to fit, but a fuel pump is a fuel pump, and this will do me fine.
1.8 decomp plate, had this for ages lol.
2 headgaskets, also had for ages


So to be fair, apart from the timing belt kit, MS and wideband.. (which are all things I am going to do N/A anyway just to play around with the MS!) I wont be spending alot

Love threads like this. Admire the time, effort and money people throw at these projects to create a totally unique and bloody good looking motor at the end of it. Love it m8. Just dont go and break it like i see in so many threads. people give 110% effort, then something silly goes wrong and they break them

Don't worry the only reason why this car would get broken is due to being beyond repairable state.. but saying that, I'd just get another shell and make another one

Shall be getting its bodywork sorted soon, along with its nice new paint

Well no pictures as you can wait and see it at FITP

Basically been driving around with a shitter for a while (Jam can agree with this!!!)

But as its my daily drive for work I cant take it off the road so I'm doing it bit by bit.

So far Ive got rid of any dents, and have done some smoothing

Rear bodykit is stuck back on.

And also fitted AVO Coilovers to it

Just need to pull my finger out, finish bodywork, sort out a few mechanical things and bufty it up. Job done

yes i can vouch for the state of the pickup. bodykit hanging off/ missing. odd colour wing. different wheels at each end. muddier than a well ragged rally cross car...inside and out . cracked filler all round the back end.

not sure if i missed anything off that list but you can rest assured boys and girls..whatever has or hasnt been done for fitp...it CAN'T look any worse than it did a few weeks ago

and i was wanting to buy it too, maybe not then ey!!

My excuse.. that was the "trial" of the pickup, and the "flexable" seam sealant used in the rear wasnt as flexable as it stated.. but not to worry its all being done better

When I can be arsed the rest of the bodykit will be fitted this week, abit more prep on some smoothing and it'll be ready for primer, then more flatting

How long is it till FITP???
