small update... now got a rs turbo steering rack! came by corier today!
the list:
rs turbo manual steering rack
manual rubber gromit for colum - (if anyone knows of one for sale let me know!!)
rs 1800 front engine mount non pas - ( think i got the right one?!?)
alternator non pas
steering collum and manual uj (cheers phil)
tracking.....

yesterday; removed

Right well today was a lovely day to start taking the power steering off the fiesta... the clouds were out and is pouring with rain...


i went out there regardless...
and now have the s brace exhaust cat, auxilary belt, pas pump, hoses, cooler, rack removed...
... just the pas colloum to remove in a mo....

good work mate gotta get my rst rack on soon, yours should be 3.75 turns lock to lock with the rst rack slightly longer than a pas rack but a lot shorter than a 1.1 manual rack which is nearly 5 turns which is horrible

right small update;

today i removed the front engine mount and placed the other engine mount (rs1800) in its place.... except the origional bolts are too long so need to get some others.

polly bushes bame in post today.... plus picked up the new track rod ends, auxilary belt and front wheel bearings.
also poped into fords and ordered the cog for the auxilary belt bracket.....

can u not cut them down?

u doing the front wheel bearings urself? if u do, do a guide so i can do mine lol! u need a lot of pressure to get them out, correct? i know the rears are meant to be a walk in the park... just the fronts take time.
