hope it comes on time buddy

Celica got deliverd at midnight last night! Really happy with the amount i have paid for it, hoocked it up to a battery pack, cranked it over afew times and it fired up! Bit of a cloud of smoke out the exhaust on start up but cleaned after 1 min, was prob just all the crap in the exhaust from it sitting for months in a salvage yard!. Anyway idle was abit hit and miss so had to keep the revs up to keep it running but i think thats due to the air box being compleatly destroyed and havnt no air filter attal and was also leaking petrol from the fuel line in the egine bay, shifted it into 1st gear lifted the cluch and it drives! Lol no knocks or bangs from the engine attal! started stripping it down this morning and fitted the leather interior into my celica and also the boot carpet as its thicker than mine. Front end is stripped down, rads all removed and slam plannel angle grinded off! Nearly ready to have the engine dropped out!

I was really worried about removing my seats due to the airbags, i have heard alot that when you unplug an airbag your light will be lit and you have to pay toyota to turn it off, but a read a guide on toyota oc and they say unplug the battery, turn the ignition to on and then remove and the fit the new seats and plug the battery back in with the key still turned to on and the light will go off. Did that and it worked new seats with airbags and airbag light.functions as usal.

One thing im gunna struggle with on this conversion is getting the traction control to work! I dont think it should be too much of a problem but i need to swap the engine and interior loom into my celica when i drop the 190 into it for the TC to work! I hate bealing with wireing lol.

good stuff on the seats - do you need TC

I would like it, my can had no grip in the snow last year attal! And the car has traction control abd ESP so a may as well fit it. Its not always on, has a swich to turn it onand off

Right abit of progress today, the leather seats have been fitted along with the 275mm brakes. the big project if the day was removing my grey interior/ dash, door cards, sills etc and replacing them with the t sport black dash panels. set to work on it and with the dash removed it was looking like this....

so while the dash was removed i had a look into changing over my manual A/C with the digital climate control from the t-sport, all the celica forums say that its impossible to do without doing alot of work and modification to the cars bulk head and wireing harness..... they were wrong, all it involved was taking all the posh rods and cables from the manual A/C and fitting motors from the T-Sports climate onto all my heater vents and blowers and then fitting the climate wireing harness inplace of the A/C wireing harness, took me all of 30 mins to do with the dash removed! works perfecty and looks soooooo much nicer than the stanerd twisty A/C control panel. dash was a doddle to re fit, i thought it would be alot harder

Brilliant progress mate.

Cheers guys! Im really happy with how the interior is looking, all i need to do now inside the car is to fit the carpet from the t sport and its better quality ti what i have in the car at the moment, just waiting for it to dry off on the washing line as it was soacked due to the rear window being smashed!

Hubs should be getting fitted on monday as i have a bad wheel bearing on mine so thought id just swap.the hubs over!

So all that is left is to strip the engine out the t sport, strip the engine.loom out and then im ready for the engine conversion. Need to strip mt dash out again and the fit both the interior loom and the engine loom with my engine out and then drop the 190 in, hopefully it should all be done by the first week of september
