no i didnt, just masked everywhere up, i will be doing the spraying properly tho, as this is just a mess around while i do the work to it, then it will be getting stripped back for the propper respray

nah its klkl mate jst im on tight budget and if i am able to prep the bodywork myself it would be great help and it will save me a hell alot of money so im jst tryin to see how people are doin it ,


i have jst finished the kit after long while hunting for the paint it will undergo final stage of spraying (colour coding)

this will be test as i am pretty handy with spray cans as i do rc cars and i do almost perfect spray jobs on them and they are on smaller scale which is harder i think


this is my first large scale spray and im hoping it turns out well as i plan to do almost the whole car when i find the money to buy all the paint and sand paper.

have u sprayed the front end of ur car the colour it should be or is it still in the primer stage ???????

its still in primer atm, i will be hireing a compressor and getting the paint form ford, and doing the whole car, i do RC cars aswell i think if you take your time doing things it will be good, when i do the final prep, i will be sanding it compeletly, and starting from scratch again, im still looking on the net for some pointers on spraying, i sprayed the bumper for my old car, looked ok, only slight orange peel effect, and slightly off colour, as it was rattle canned, but all in all, wasnt too bad.

alrite mate yeah rc cars the real deal mate

yea ive done my side skirts with rattle cans the primer went on evenly and left no drips or anything

ive gt colour coded paint in the tins from halfords but at 9.99 it will work out pretty expensive i think when i get money i will do what ur doin try and hire out compressor then prep whole car and redo it all in one go hopefully i will get time to do that but for meantime this rattle can job will have to do

hopefully final product of my rattle cans will be just as good as compressor , and then i will be chuffed . it just takes patience



can i ask as ur drivin around with just primer has any rust reappeared from underneath or has it been fine

what size RCs you got and what make? only just a little bit, on the boot lid near the soiler, but nothing major, i will sand that down and treat the metal then respray.

small update, new backbox fitted, im pleased with it considering it cost £15 it will do till i get the propper jobbie fitted when i get the money

the other day i got bored so i fitted my subs back in my car after a yr of trying to sell them with no luck but hey, i dont mind.


and then fitted a second bootlight and fitted two blue LEDs into both of them so it looks like this


now on the sad side, while i was fixing the exhaust i came across a small oil leak


so need to get that sorted soonish along with:

2x rear ARB brackets
2x bottom arms
new grooved discs and pads

now on another good side, finally got my tyres taken off my bargin alloys, and have a set of 4 tyres comming to be fitted after the wheel refurb,

will get pic of the wheels once i have done them,

the front hasnt changed one bit from the pic from above, aint had anytime, as ive been working silly hours at work to save up from my holiday in july, so ive had literally no time on the Si unfortunatly, hopefully when i get back off my hols, and have a bit more cash, i should start doing monre things with it then *fingers crossed*

heres a slight update, nothing major unfortunatly, buts its another step forward

well some of you may know im going to be doing the 2.0 conversion, so here is a before pic and a middle pic of the engine, no finishd pics yet as i aint finishd it





on it now is a nice new RS1800 inlet which i got for a bargain price

also fitted my new discs ages ago, and i have a pic of my alloys i refurbed
(minus tyres)


will get tyres on as soon as the engine is finished as i need a few more parts for that, then i can fit it

oh and here is how the car stands at the mo


as you can see, nothing has been done

oh and a peekaboo pic of the fez


so nothing exciting going on atm, but hopefully when/if i get this payrise at work, it might move a little more quikly
