ok first thing did the kurrust i give you sort your prob ?, second your interferance as daft as it seems can be caused by your subs been diff makes as the may have a diff impedance made out of diff materials etc etc, take yours subs out the box and drill 2 self tapping screws in in each hole in the box, and stand them up, job done

lol , because if you get stopped and they check your subs arnt secured down you get a hefty fine my friend, so take to actual subs out the box and fasten it to the car, and if you crash getting hit on the back of the head with them aint going to increase your chances of winning any modeling contests

oh, i get it now. I had though about securing them down but didnt want to go drilling into the floor pan if i could help it but the thought of 2 12" subs flying towards me may have changed my mind lol

Today i decided to attack the rust around my rear strut top, as people that were at the northern meet would have seen it did not look pretty, so armed with the Kurrust donated by Ash Si and wet n dry paper from wickes (staff discount ) and halfrauds spray tins, i set to work, this is after the Kurrust ate away at the rust using its oxidising formula (<-- i should do adverts for hammerite lol):





After sanding away some more and working through the grits i masked up ready:





Then the first coat of primer:




I am now going out to flat it down slightly and apply a second coat of primer, what i didnt realise is that the primer requires 24 hours before applying the coat of paint as i wanted to get it all done today but as i have never sprayed anything before i want it to look ok.

Applied the final primer coat, i'll let it cure over night then shoot the blue tomorrow:





I'm not an expert sprayer as this is the first bit of spraying that i have done but i am quite chuffed with myself so far, we will see how tomorrow goes.

looking at it i wish i would have gone a bit crazier with the sanding and really sorted out that bit properly but thanks to the kurrust it was bare metal underneath, just not proper flat

Didnt get a chance to shhot base coat as it was damp and spitting of rain and didnt want to risk it but thanks to Ash's heads up i won an RS1800 sterring wheel on ebay, very chuffed with myself i must say as it was the first bid i made on ebay and the first item i won so happy days, Thanks Ash. (i'm not that bad with spiders lol) I'll try and shoot the blue tomorrow so can every please pray like i will be doing tonight for nice weather lol.

Is it cause im like a mind reader and new you would buy it , not a bad job there mate, you could either smooth it with filler to get it entirely flat, thats what i did to the boot. haha you really are you ran like a lil girl lol.
