Yes i have thanks for asking!
I charged the battery up last night and put it in, and the car started first time to my suprise. I drove it across to town to get to my house and it stalled when i changed gear (had the clutch down) then proceeded not to turn over and acted like the battery was too flat to start it once again.
So we tow started it and then the tow 'wire' snapped after it started (whoops!) and i drove literally 1 mile up a straight road to my house and it died again when changing gear and once again failed to start. I did notice the wipers gradually getting slower whilst being towed back the rest of the way so that is making me think the battery is on its last legs.
I'm also considering if the alternator is working fine as well, so will need to get a voltmeter on it when it's not snowing for once.
I'm left a little dull on zvh's as to use spark plugs for the 2.0 or rs turbo (I believe the HT leads are RS ones), as well as which alternator should be there as well. This could help it run a little better as well.
Really i need to take the starter and alternator off give them a clean up and test somehow and then see what happens from there.
Also found out running 10psi in sleet and snow is a VERY bad idea!
Thanks for your replies onslack! I could imagine not wanting to leave your Cossie laying about just incase someone decided to spank into it at the side of the road, as i bet there's been a ton of hit and runs these past few days! You're a risk taker for taking it out might i say as since i took my mum's bmw out for work the other night rwd has so far stuggled so much in the snow (the back end came out around the corners a hell of a lot to the extent i clipped a car :S).
I'm hoping for some 'dryer' weather so i can drive and work on sorting her out easier, if not i'll assemble the gazebo
