plans:

rub back and hammerite front valance, rear valance and battery tray myself (learning, so will start on battery tray )

get the drivers rear arch and panel de rusted, and the blistered paint on the filler cap ammended

source a decent bootlid and put original xr2i decal on it

trying to source some blue stripes for the sides......doors and wings

maybe 15" softline alloys

Change the idle control valve to the inlet manifold style one so i can a: have a car that idles and b: get a induction kit

Fix stem seals at some point as they are starting to go

Steering rack is a bit creaky so will investigate or replace

its been lowered 35mm on Gmax already and has a SS exhaust so maybe a 4 branch, if not leave engine

Bootlid should be sorted went to my first hampshire ford society meet last night. The meet was quiet due to the weather, but the main bloke running it was well alrite went back to his and ended up talking for ages, he loves the Xr2i

he has a boot in white, but the paint is cracked so for £50 he will respray it, put the original decal on and fit it for me just need to sort it

He has loads of ford parts so wants me to pop back at the weekend to see if there is anything else i need

He has also offered to do my stem seals and bodywork, but the bodyshop i go to let me pay cash in hand monthly (Should do) and have courtesy cars which i need really

they were to twisted wouldn't sit flat. Also, where we crammed all the stuff back into the boot, it ripped one of the original seats so they had to go to but i have the restof the interior stored

K+N do one do they, ooh interesting but i need the seals and bodywork done first.

wats the inlet look like on this then? mines got the iscv on the side of the inlet, much like my 1.4. and i got the 1AFA ECU.

i gota 4 branch and planning on camming and chipping mine once the engines rebuilt.

well luckily the sills look good, no welding, and Op has rubbed back and hammerited under the carpet (so the floor) and underneath the car.......hopefully this is a rust proofing goodnesss thing

there are bits of surface rust i think but i am not sure

haven't had it on a ramp yet but Op told me its never had advisorys for rust at mots

and well to kettles of fish, old skool, FRST and Xr2i we'll have to park together
