Des: i dont have a clue about the engine tbh lol, all i know is that i deffo gets a power increase at midrange in the revs! doe run and drive extreamly smooth though.

Terry: thanks, yeah when i got to the car i though ok im not paying nearly 4k for a car that has huge scuffs on the frontand rear bumpers, then the guy said we only got it in yesterday and its going to the body shop friday to have all the body work sorted! so means i dont have to do anything to it

95 fiesta si: thanks, yeah the little bonnet scoop is something i really lke about it lol. for an 8 year old car they still look up to date!

Ry: im not sure, aparently there is a something on the air intake that restrics the airflow to keep the car quiet and by removing that people say it feels alot different in power. the 190 celica is a totally different engine to the 140 but they do a nice turbo kit for the 140 that gives it 178bhp and give it more power lower in the rev range which makes it a second quicker than the 190 to 60, so should do 0-60 in 7secs flat!

mole: yeah i know i did really want the 190 but 1200 for insurance was silly so though i would get the 140 then when i get my 3rd years no claims in 4 months and havnt done a turbo conversion on this one i may part ex it for a 190

thanks luke, yeah a 190 would have been nice but the reason i wanted a new car was to save me money in the long run and insurance on the 190 was silly at 21!. If i want to you can get a turbo or supercharger kit for the 140 which is a very nice kit also the 190s arnt very tuneable aparently.

picked it up today and all i can say is that i love it! pulls so well through the gears, feels so smooth to drive and quiet! nice having the 6th gear for motorways aswell! all the body work has been done and i cant even see where any of the damage was before! so pleased with it

will get some pictures of it when i get the chance!

thanks luck, not sure what i will be doing to her yet, tempted to get it lowerd by toyota with the gt suspension as its a 30mm drop and i went in a gt and its just as smooth as mine is

anyway i havnt been on for a while so been really busy with work etc, anyway i picked the car up on thursday as planned and after the 4 days of having it i am loving it! just feels like such a solid car, not rattles squeeks knocks! holds the road very very well

anyway here are some pictures








when i picked the car up all the bodywork had been done as promiced, but the alloys were in a terribly state, very corroded and paint flakeing off so the first thing on my list was to refurb all 4 wheels, was suprised that it even had a spare alloy in the boot! was thinking of going black again like on the fiesta but then though nah ill stick with silver but i went with a very slightly darker silver metallic. here are the before and after shots

then i thought i would check the ol etc, oil had been changed by the garage the day i got it but i was shocked at the airfilter! so went to toyota and got a nice new one

i sand then right down tho bare metal there there is damage or corrosion then if there are suffs then i use alloy filler to fill the scuff then mask the tyre, prime, paint, laqure, but luckly none of mine were scuffed just corroded which is aparently a very common problem with toyotas, the origional paint was so thin!
