Zetecfiesta: thanks mate , umm turbo inlet hard to fit ? nope lol i cut the sides of as theres nothing to bolt it to , i cut a section off the heat shild ( has a bolt on it on the right side hols the std inlet pipe on ) and then it just pushes on , depeding on the filter u have u mite need to cut the rubber pipe that gose to the filter :insanity:

Paul: not sure if im going to grind it off now as i want to keep it for the next engine :insanity: but i have grinded down the sides and smoothed it off , its really easy to grind it down , just used a snading pad on a grinder :devil:

its cast so the letters are just extra metal with a sanding pad on a grinder u cant really take chunks out :insanity: , i no the funness from grinding up a car i did my bros escort when it had a new slam panle :lol:

BIG UPDATE :
right then people hes some of my convertion pics to were i am at the mo not very far but just taking my time as not to brake any more things :rolleyes: , desided not to use the si lump so i got hold of a 130ps 1.8 escort to take the engine out . i also disided not to use the TURBO cross over and to use the plastic one until i can get a samco kit . right so heres some pics.

got the si up on axle stands got the wheels off

undid all the bolts holding engine and box on and this happend 8-) :oooh:

going to split the box and engne eather today or tomoz also going to clean the engine bay before the new enigne gose in also get some silver heat resitant paint and do the gear box :homo: .

got a new clutch kit as well from my mates work that was nice and cheap 8-) need to call round some brakers and try find a 2.0ltr ECU not sure what one yet mite also get anothe 2.0ltr MAF i will be writin a guide on doing this convertion when i get a bit of time and can be aRSed !

MallardSi: i acculy am so undesided but the 1.8 will go in for a bit and then i will have tijme to build an engine i always wanted a 2.0ltr zetec turbo not a mad spec just anothe for 250bhp ? want a de-comp plate and need the block messined if i get a new job then ill go a bit mader and go for a set of pistons and go for 300 :insanity:

Get the RS1800 or 2 litre cams, aswell. get it nearer 130 bhp then it will just be short of the power of a 2 litre i imagine but the 2 litre will defo have more torque?
