So right as well too about the 1.6. I looked for ages and could not find one with decent miles or with no rust in bad, bad places.

i like the 1.6si leenys can match my 2i in 1st and 2nd by 3rd im pulling away but they are impressive little cars for only 90bhp, but i also like the 1.4si ours was a lovely car (see previouse post) it was a very cheap to insure fun little car, near the red line it made a lovely growl (probably the engine screaming change gear your killing me)
i think the 1.4si is a rarer car nowadays.
i think alot of the problem is because there so cheap to insure alot of young people buy them before there ready to drive a sporty car and end up writing them off, or they cant realy aford to run them properly and just thrash them without proper maintenance

mine screams like hell just before i change aswell!! lol i dont rev it to the limiter thou coz all the power in the 1.4s is at 5300 rpm i think.

lol i wud buy that see if it had the electric pack, im always looking 4 a nice 1.6 Si, mines done 93k and i want sumin that will last me a long time with no rust what so ever!!

Hi,

My 1.4Si has an electric pack, I think. electric front windows and central locking.

She looks good on this picture, but she needs loads doing to her. She has just been really unloved with little dints all over, interior is intact but fag burns and a rip in the rear of the passenger seat.

When I bought her the front end was very bad. The previous owner had a front ender and then attached the front bumper back on by srewing three bolts straight through the bumper and in to the metal behind, ouch!! The first thing on my shopping list was a new bumper, which is now on.

The bonnet is really bashed in as they have tried to take the crease out themselves and created a very bumpy bonnett!! I can't see anyway round it except smoothing it all on the front and de-badging it! It is such a mess I can't make it any worse, and if it works it will save me a few quid to spend on other bits. I will take photos as I go to show you all now you guys have very kindly told me how to do it. .

Me haves a 1.4si 5 door. i not done nothing to it myself part from induction kit and a new back box.

Would like to do more but dont really know what yet!






These pics are without the new back box, ill put some new ones on soon though

any reccomendations??

i do need a new bumber as itss all out of place etc from a slight dink.

i got a 1.4 si ... i think the last 1 i posted was a green 1.6 ... iv had a MINT blue 1.6 after that with 87k on da clock ... but due to ice and a telegraph pole that is no more .... and now i have a green/blue ( not 100% on colour name ) 1.4si ... few dents here and there, patch of rust or 2 ( or 100s lol ), 1 big dent in the front where a f*cking bus drove into me, BUT .. bort it for £850 with genuine 64k on the clock and since march thats now up to 74k lol .. bort it with a backbox not sure of make bt quite loud and pops like a biatch ... 14" RS 7spokes... in the process of puttin 16" black ford RS alloys on, removing mid silencer, dropping it 35mm and new air filter... pics up soon x
