yes it was shed three, slow as fcuk, long ratio box on a 90ps 1.6

going to standard box and 2.0

if you see my post on FT its "Shed 3 continues"

thats just one corner..but it does smell a bit funny and have a mice problem. and one working plug socket for about 35 feet in any direction!

yeah just the input shaft thats gone / barings. got another box now just need to fit it. the car goes damn well though i'd say its quick now... no supercar but it'd embarras plenty of "hot" hatches if i could get a sportka gearbox and an lsd in it it'd be very very rapid

the sport box is a getrag unit... short ratios- the 95bhp ka will bounce off the limiter in 5th at 115-120ish mph and it gets there fairley rapidly for its limited power, the bell housings are slightly different but you can chop the different bit out and weld the correct bit in, unsure if the gearset could be swapped.

the si 16v box has very odd ratios compared to the other 5 speed fords out there, meh its all academic i'm probably going to wang the standard box jam gave me in there and hope for the best.

I have been known to give cars death on odd occasion :lolz:

well spent the last few days dismantling the car to fit a new sump gasket... got really pissed off working out side and going in everytime it rained (constantly)
had a full day on it yesterday, got it done rebuilt the car aorund it... fired it up... oil leak still present, it appears to be the oil pump

so today i'll take the oil pump off if the rain holds back, :doh:

i can't get the oil pump off without removing the sump so the engines definately coming out... might as well do all the other jobs that need doing

anyone up north breaking an si i need various bits
