well im getting an xr2i kit tommorow for it, just got 2 take the arch spats and bump strips off it, gona do it this evening i think.

then got 2 put it into a bodyshop to have:

1 arch welded and sprayed
1 arch sprayed
corner of rear bumper sprayed
xr kit sprayed and fitted

and if the front arches are rusty im gona hav 2 new wings put on and sprayed
just want to make sure thers not too much rust on the car, as i want to keep it 4 a few years yet.

how much do u reckon all that would cost abouts?

alex - yea i know mate, i may aswell go on my own name anyway because its 1800 with my dad and 2000 on my own, so i may aswell pay the extra 200 coz it will work out better in the long term.

matt- it not gonna make much difference i dont think mate, i got loads of little dings up the door now anyway, and Si's arent ment to have the bump strips anyway (none on here seem to have them anyway)

UPDATE: mam and dad have sold the caravan! so i got the drive now to work on and clean the car :D

so i give the car a good clean the other day:

Image
ill get sum more piccies up wen i get them on the car.
and also me and a boy i know is gona do the the spraying now, and hes gona do a bit of welding on the rear arch 4 me, so its not goin into the bodyshop anymore.

some palns for the near future:
limo black tints on the rear windows
fully smoked rear lights
xr/rs kit obviously
FSI stickers in back window
recaros
yellow brakes
yellow rocker cover, black inlet manifold, ford badge on top of the throttle body is gona be black and yellow
sportex backbox, maybe de-cat
lowered 35mm sumtime aswell, dunno whether just to get springs or go all out 4 it with a Gmax setup.

i used a hair dryer to heat up the glue then just carefully pulled them off, then use turps to remove the rest of the glue. it takes a while and lots of hard work to get it off thou, i still havent finished getting it off yet.

and i wud sort the rust before putting the kit on coz it will spread.
