Few little updates on the mk2, its been slow going as ive been rebuilding my saph cossie at the same time

I made a start JB welding in my vac adapters into the bike body injector holes and the blanks into the secondary butterfly holes

by , on Flickr

I also bought some new black silicone joiners from fastdan

by , on Flickr

Conor kindly remade my water pump bracket and powder coated it for me

by , on Flickr

by , on Flickr

sh!te pic, but I've bought the connectors for my loom, just got to get the engine in to get the wiring lengths

by , on Flickr

I finally collected my modified fuel tank off of chubbyjon

by , on Flickr

And last of the collected part is my brand new xr2 rad

by , on Flickr

Baz and myself set about removing the engine from the fez the other night, the fez and the saph having a face off

by , on Flickr

Few hours later and the fez was engineless

by , on Flickr

The bay needs a good jet wash when I get back from working away to get rid of those rusty water marks, then i can get a mate to help sort out the sh!t welding on the battery tray!

by , on Flickr

I'm going to get the arches jet washed while im there and treat them as this shell is mint!!

Time to pull my finger out and get this engine in :D

Right so bit of an update on the ol fezza

I've made a few more purchases recently

1st up is a block breather from Will Pedley Racing with some quip shizzle :D

by , on Flickr

by , on Flickr

Next up is a mk1 mondeo MC/servo

by , on Flickr

While i was at it i bought some coolant hoses and one of shane's ST170 converted covers

by , on Flickr

by , on Flickr

I gave the ol shed a blast with the jet wash to get rid of a few months worth of dust and shite, while i was at it i then gave the gave a spray with some de-greaser and gave that a blast ( stuff on the front panel near the bonnet mounts is grease, i was still cleaning lol)

by , on Flickr

took the wheels off and gave the arches a clean

by , on Flickr

by , on Flickr

i did the same with the fronts

by , on Flickr

by , on Flickr

few things i need to sort are the poor attempt at repairing the battery try and the small patch on the passenger inner wing

that's it for now, hoping to have the engine in this coming week :D

I did a few minor bits to the fiesta this weekend, it mainly consisted of stripping out my old 1.1 dash as i've donated it to a young lad who's got my old shell :cool!:

but before i did that i test fitted my new steering wheel :D

by , on Flickr

soooo out with the old

by , on Flickr

I've had this sat in my shed for about 3yr, which i had forgotten about until recently! which is why the dash was removed

flocked xr2 dash with cobwebs and sh!te as standard

by , on Flickr

I'm a lazy scrote so i left all the sh!te on it and fitted it as is LOL

by , on Flickr

Like a knob i forgot to fit the heater vents... so out it came again...  , this time i cleaned it then fitted it

by , on Flickr

I also did a few bits to the engine, the belt is on and timed up so I've started bolting bits back on, i also added an adjustable pulley to the exhaust cam

pic showing the new exhaust pulley, cam belt, tensioners and water pump

by , on Flickr

Bolted the modified cover i got from shane

by , on Flickr

I've also bought an xr2 rack and one of shanes adjustable panhard rods

by , on Flickr

It appears I'm missing a few bits from my xr2 dash so I'll be sticking up a wanted thread for those bits

I'll be fitting my new sump and arp rod bolts next and giving the block a lick of paint

some new parts have arrived too

willwood 4 pots

by , on Flickr

front and rear strut braces

by , on Flickr

cosworth bailey breather pot

by , on Flickr

brand new xr2 arb drop links

by , on Flickr

first up i poly bushed the suspension bits ( few select pics)

by , on Flickr

by , on Flickr

by , on Flickr

fitted my xr2 arb and adjustable panhard rod

by , on Flickr

by , on Flickr

by , on Flickr

engine fitting time came

by , on Flickr

by , on Flickr

test fitted my bodies

by , on Flickr

i then removed my bodies and fitted my vac hosing for the mc/servo and for my fpr

by , on Flickr

by , on Flickr

refitted my bodies

by , on Flickr

then measurements were taken for my loom

by , on Flickr

i then refitted the carpet and my S2 seats

by , on Flickr

by , on Flickr

by , on Flickr

by , on Flickr

by , on Flickr

I decided to be awkward and keep the st exhaust manifold standard and not cut it , this meant i had to sacrifice some of the cross member !

by , on Flickr

by , on Flickr

by , on Flickr

knowing i had weakened the structure i had some tubes welded in (the car will be checked over by a race car builder and if this isnt good enough i'll have it redone)

by , on Flickr

while i was doing that i test fitted my xr2 rad

good to see your still as mad about Fiestas Terry.

I tried to buy back my Fiesta a couple of weeks ago. Its been lying with a knackered engine after the new owner ran it low on oil and ran the bottom end destroying the crank and conrod. Engines now out the car and being rebuilt by a good friend of mine, so may be back in action for 2016
