if you chose this shell then the fiesta shell must of been shagged really bad

Apart from the usual sills, the usual floorpan bits which go on all fords around the seat mounts, and the filler cap this shell is pretty good.. specially for its age.

FFS I have seen a newer ka with worse filler panels

All of the above I have found has been hiding under seam sealant!!!

Luckily there isnt anything too major... the bootfloor and rear panel bit is pretty simple to sort and means I have fit a battery recess into it - the rear of the arch shite isnt tooooooo bad, just awkward.. but as the arches cover it im not arsed what it looks like as long as it seals up the cabin and does the job


PS. Yes the fiesta shell was mega fucked. Inner sills were missing, half the floor pan was fooked, needed all the panels replacing.. the ka will only be seeing the filler panel, sills and a bonnet

not as bad as i was expecting to be honest. the idea for sorting out the back is about right. its just going to be a test of patience for you if in doubt make bits in card first and trial fit then cut the steel..im sure youll be fine..fancy attacking that other fiesta in there with a grinder?

any and i mean any shell you buy unless you get it in a stripped state, will be hiding something generaly, and this in comparison to the previous hunk of shit RS1800 is a minter. as paul said there was so much rot it was silly it was starting to bend on the spit. it had to go.

Will you be needing the spit?? As the KA won't go on it due to the KA having no mounting points for the bumpers (they clip/screw on)

Soon as I sort this welder... I'll make a start on the KA welding fun... but I have a feeling the welder is fucked

I got my "new" welder last night, which I won off ebay... which was at my uncles place of work
Got some reels of wire for free too
Just need some gas and then I'll be making a start to welding the Ka up to be rust free

Got a welder, it works, as I welded up my mums berlingo exhaust last night to save £80

Got some good mods coming for the KA soon which will see it deck on coilovers / white wheels / arches for a nice porn photo within the next week or so - Just gotta make a mount so I can fit 3.5 coilovers to a KA - KAOC will love that one I'm sure

Progress will be moving on this beast now I have a mig so don't you worry
