Strange you didnt hear anything from Danny and that he hasnt posted on here but has posted on FiestaTurbo and was online on MSN over the weekend

Looks like you got on well with it all though, now sort that rusty arch and front panel out

Yeah some twat, me, left his phone at a house party, charlotte my friend got it, went to give it to me, i wasnt in, it went in her car to wales for a couple of days and now i have it back yay lol.

But yes, cams soon, again. And it will be back to how it was!

I need to get some for mine, after taking mine for a quick drive earlier it just lacks power, saying that, i have been in Chris's car which is like WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, and my driven mums new car which has 225bhp and boost, and mine is like, meh... lol. Its still as quick as it was, but just not quick enough. 2 litre time soon, possible turbo conversion too I think

Fuck it.

changed the crank pulley, got the belt on. Wouldn't start.

Ask someone over the road and they tell me its a freefloating crank so i've knocked the timing out and now probably fucked the valves and the engines knackered.

He didn't know tbf. He had swap an engine but he isn't qualified as a mechanic, he did it for two years. I could have asked my dad but he said even he would have forgotten that (hence why he didn't say anything sooner) until it actually happened.

corrrr !! did u look for timing marks on the pulley or is there even any im not clued up on those engines ? im guessing you didnt lock the engine up ? lets hope its ok otherwise thats worse news than being HIV+ :doh:

There were two holes on the pulley we took out, my mate had a look at the hole where the pulley was and he said there was nothing there. We put the pulley from the old engine on the new one and there was nothing stopping it going on fully, we both didn't really understand it fully (I have no clue, he didn't know about floating crankshaft shit) and we just went for it.

Yeah Danny should be popping down Monday all being well and we will time it up properly and see what happens, if its fucked im going to be pissed off. But we'll miss FITP and i'll have to get the head off the old engine, send it off to be skimmed and put it on the new engine :lol:

Fun times. I'm pretty stressed, nervous and in general trying to stay positive. But when you've thrown Â£1000 at an engine and go into debt over it. You hope its all going to be ok.

I'm playing a sensible card and not fitting the cams if its fine, going to wait until I have got a bit of money back again so I can get it remapped straight away once there in. It's all fun and games, I have the worst luck ever. But either things will get better and it will be fine. Or things are just going to get worse and worse, and if it does. i'm giving up with modifying anything that isn't visual for the rest of my life unless its something sat in the garage that I don't need. (although I don't generally need this car lol, hence why it hasn't been too bad) As I really do always have things go badly wrong.

Chin up and all that. Hopefully back better than ever soon.
