noo headgaskets are easy to do just time consuming, but apperently its not uncommon for it to fail after you cam an older engine, and to back that up mine did go after fitting 2.0 cams at the first chance i ragged it

Mine died because I fitted cams even though the compressions test wasn't 100% good.

As long as your engines good and healthy then you'll be fine, also SS4's are the sort of max you want for a road car with standard block, you could go for some mild cat cams or OC motorsports cams, OC's are a bit cheaper but won't give you the gains maybe 10-15 less bhp but don't think they'll put quite as much strain on.

Just get a compression test and come back with the results should be fine to whack anything in if it comes back positive.

i'd rather know in gear times - acceleration in 3rd say

as the zs doesnt pick up til 3rd and you have to change to 3rd to hit 60

think he was just saying his are SS4, you might not like them as they're pretty raw cams, your car will idle rough, and be snappier at lower revs im sure chris will agree on

might want to try less aggressive ones, like SS2 or 3

and the remap will get the most out of them as the car will fuel in accordance to its new cam durations :)

I'd recommend 4's highly. All you need are the cams and a remap

You have the option of taking off the limiter and buying an omex limiter, then you can rev to 7500 (as they still make power!) any higher and you need big end bolts as well (£100)

I use them and my car is my only one that I rely on to do 50 miles to and from my gf's each week and all other driving and tbh, there the limit on what you could handle daily unless you spent mega bucks like people I know. But there awesome.
