On the motorway it didn't seem to be pluming any smoke as such, but as said there was a distinct oil burning smell coming through the vents :lol:

Can't wait to see the plans you've spoke about being put into action :D

Yeah it tends to smoke less the more I drive it hard in a single session, but the smell is still there.

BTW Paul, the overall cost of turboing it all can range anywhere between 800/900 if you do it yourself, to around 2500 if you get a company to do it.

It's tempting to get this all done for a mere few hundred, as even though the engine smokes, it's still worth the best part of a grand, but I want to keep the bottom end to rebuild and use the top end anyway.

There's a really good mapper down in Guildford so that's where it will be going for the tune once it's all built.

I saw a mate's integra last night who's putting a different bottom end on for another guy i knows teg, who I could have the bottom end from, but it needs a slight rebore and oversized pistons, and thats too much hassle for me as I can't do that work myself. I'm hoping mine will be fine!

I'd love a DC5 teg, less raw so nicer for everyday use, and slightly less revvy, but ever so slightly faster, better braking and handling! And they look the SEX inside and out. just not worth double what this is worth at the very least :( Maybe in a year or two.

But yup, passenger rides galore. :)

Put a new stereo in it today, so it sounds nicer :D Just need some wires and a box for the sub and we have lift off!

one of my old work mates has a new type r aswel and i much prefer them to the old ones as the interior is like a cockpit lol

I dunno, if Des' Pulsar is fixed by the meet and ran in, his will more 'scary' than mine on that straight bit of road :teehheee: I find mine really slow these days :( Suppose you get used to any car that you have though.

I was reading some really interesting stuff about the rear suspension the other day about how it lets the wheel physically move forwards and backwards, especially under braking, to help the car keep calm under intense pressure. Was quite mind boggling for me to understand to be honest. :lol:

Just a small update, I've ordered a nice shiny catch can from round the corner, in that there, Hong Kong. Should arrive soon! :)

Also my alternator belt flew off when I hit the limiter in 3rd, so that was fun, but I replaced it the day after, as a mate who owns an Integra has recently took his mate's Integra engine apart due to a cracked piston ring and dead shell, so we fitted the "spare" one lying around.

I've also had someone scrape my passenger door with their own car door, but I'm not too bothered as it's not a car that is exactly perfect, cosmetic wise. I think a good detail will cure it for the most part anyway. But a pain none the less!
