Did that actually make it round the track without crashing? The car in the pic above.

I literally just watched that episode on top gear when clarkson was testing it on the tg test track lol.

got a video of a lap to show new track layout, its lot better than old one apart from the new layout of the 180 Deg Corum corner which didnt like exit for last bend before start finish, meet Jonathan Palmer there on sunday and told him too :lol:





had couple issues one was bit lucky i had left the fuel pressure gauge on the fuel pressure reg which failed dosing the engine bay in fuel at 3 Bar didnt know till pulled into pit garage!

good vid , your driving well there Will, and im liking your hand placement on the wheel, I hate watching vids with their hand at 12 oclock on the wheel and the other on the gearstick,

has Palmer sport now took over the running of snetterton, ?

finally managed to get a few jobs finished, fitted a oil cooler with sandwich plate and thermostat as last time out oil temperature was 120degC whan air temp was only 6, its not the best place to be fitted but should get some air with a bit of ducting, also fitted a new fuel pressure regulator as the cheap ebay one wouldnt hold a constant pressure.
Now just got to book another track day.

Done another track evening at Snetterton on Monday, it was a great evening Si ran great had fun supprising a few larger cars and hassling BMW's and avoiding spining VX220's

Cracking driving :thumbsup: Do you guys get to know the track from driving around them on a track day?

Driving around silverstone was difficult. much different from something like when I went out at thruxton as they had cones out and someone telling you how much and when to accelarate etc. I knew how to drive around, I just didn't know what was coming next or what speed to take anything!

Must say you did a great job of it, i'd love to get into trackdays properly, a cage and another set of wheels with some good tyres and I think i'd nearly be there tbh!

Nahhhhhhh, Never follow people, gotta learn the lines and speeds of your own car yourself. I just couldn't remember what corner was next and what speed to take it, hence why I came off on one corner right at the end of my first session :laugh:

as the winter is coming and no doubt a wet weathert track day soon one of the limiting factors is traction out of slow corners so decided to fit a Limited slip diff.
Took the gearbox out last weekend and took it apart, brought a RS Escort LSD from DALSY, how hard can it be?? well as megaflea post previously highlighted its a chalange

As megaflea highlighted i had basically the same issues with removing the 5th gear and different size bearings so his info was great help. Had a new larger bearing fitted by a transmission expert for £20 including the bearing which was well cheap, also the other bearing is a semi floating race in the case with a spring behind it to maintain pressure on the diff so no nead to shim.
Today i reassemble it, was ok bit of a panic as 5th gear synchro fell apart and couldnt get reverse to start with but managed to jiggle the selector shaft and get it back into position before putting on the 5th gear selector pin.
All seems fine now as can get all gears, now just got to put it back in car to make sure.

Excellent progress. Very good driving style and lovely modifications. You're certainly building a very usable weapon. LSD's really do make a difference.
