Coming to the next southern meet?

no updates as of yet, someone crashed into it in a carpark and drove off without leaving any insurance details not too bad but has left a nice big dent in the front wing which i have managed to bash out to some extent! new wing will be bought when i find one in the right colour! and i will be at the next meet ifim not working

Hello, thought id come on and update this thread as i havnt done it in a while!!!! not too much has happend to the car, just afew cosmetic things and suspension upgrades
Celica gt 190 shock absorbers have been fitted for better dampering with my lowerd springs


i pulled the front splitter off the bumper and compleatly re furbed it as it was so batterd from the front end being too low for speed bumps, stripped all the paint from it and then filled any scuffs on it and then re sprayed it body colour but the pained the center section black to give a more agressive look to the front end!



I then got bored one evening and tryed my luck with painting my headlight inserts black to go with the whole black and silver theme





And then lastly i have painted the rear bumper so it has a kind of rear diffuser look to it.

cheers for the comments. May have an extra 50bhp and rev another 2k rpm soon if my plans go right just hope luck stays with me on this one!!!! If my plans go right then it will also have bigger brakes all around and will be getting leather interior for a very small price!

Hi again, well some of you no that when i bought my celica 2 years ago i made the hard choice to go for the less powerful model due to insurance reasons, now my insurance is at a good price being 23 with 5 years ncb i have been on the hunt for a Celica 190 engine gearbox, ecu and wiring loom, problem was that engines were coming out at about £1200, gearboxes about £700, and looms and ecus were non existent! So that was going to work out to expensive creeping towards the 2k mark. so while having a browse on ebay i came across something that i was shocked about. here are some photos.

So this was listed at ......... a whopping £400!!!!! i thought to myself right it must have a seized engine so i emailed the company and to my suprise they told me engine runs smooth and has no knocks and bang and to my belife they told me that it still moves backwards and forwards! so i stuck a bid on of £400 thinking this will proberly go for about £1000 due to the amount of parts that can be stripped of it and sold. Nope auction ended with me as the winner for £400 Car is a cat b right off, 2005 celica T Sport 190, 190bhp, limited rev to 8500rpm!, TC, ESP etc etc. should be deliverd to my house by next week! got 2 weeks off in august so the transplant will be happerning then

Cheers, terry yeah that was a day/night to remember! Lol it took us about 3 hoursjust to het the bloody gearbox in this conversion is aparently just as easy, if not easyer than than the fiesta 2.0 conversion! Engine sits on all the same engine mounts as my 140 so its a direct drop in! All that needs doing is the engine loom swiched over for the lift control need to change over the dash aswell is my rev counter inly goes to 8k and i need it to go to 9k also the dash in the tsport is nicer as its black rather than grey!

So im gunna be using the engine, gearbox, wireing loom, ecu, interior, steering rack(if its not damaged) front hubs and 280mm brakes.

So that leaves me to sell
Wheels which fetch £300 on the bay
Both doors if there in alright nick, bout £75 each
T sport suspension, fetch around £150 on the bay
Wish bones should get £60 a side
My steering rack £100
All my interior £200
My engine £400
Gearbox £200

The list could go on and on!!!!! Will easily make my.money back on this i think!

Sounds like a good project to be getting on with and a bargain of a car, all it will cost you is your time and hard work! As you say, it will be a bonus if you get even more back in parts.
