another update here

picked up my new powder coated parts on thursday









i havent fitted them back on the car yet going to source new stainless steel nuts and bolts first

also sourced another brand new valeo headlight to replace my other one which cracked after 2 months need to adjust it a bit but its on

Awesome stuff! I found a Valeo headlight in my box of spares earlier, may have to see if one headlight isn't Valeo and swap it over if it's not. Can't be having odd ones! lol

its a good fit now

think mine are valeo, they have the grey backing dont they, i had a cheap pattern and it was a beige calour witha real crap bulb locking system, took me 10 mins to remove the bulb lol

Valeo ones have the Valeo logo on them, simple as that lol

Out of interest, if there is any rust on the items, do the powdercoaters sort that out, or do you have to do it?

Powdercoaters normally sand blast everything

from the stuff ive had done you just chuck it in and thats that. as a a prep its normally lightly blasted to get rid of any funky rot...as the powder wont really stick to scabbyness. i know i never prepped anything ive ever put in..and most of that is now on phils car

it does look very good and lasts too!

id love a few things done myself when its off the road

doing the wiper arms is a very good idea, they like to fade easy, and the fuel filter support looks great , oh and the pas cooler bracket/bonnet latch

Is it expensive to get stuff powder coated??

to honest is fairly expensive these 3 pieces came to 72quid including vat which is a lot more than I was expecting...oh well

Its not toooooo bad if theyve prepped everthing aswell, is it a case of its cheaper to do a bulk load rather than bits here and there if you know what i mean

Yeah do a bulk load and it would be cheaper. Different companies charge different amounts, just search around your local area and see what there is

true the other parts I had done last year was about 150quid, but there was a lot more parts but the price did include powder coat that I had matched up to the parts jam sold to me in the same colour, black chrome aka the silvery looking parts
