thanks guys, tend to aggree with yous boys, im much happier with how its looking, also goes with the grey inside and under the bonnet

so now all finished, just need to buy some new pads and discs as theyre well down now, and a service, and change the oil upto 10 40 as the oil temp was getting a bit high at the last track day, and get the sunstrip fitted

so its all good

was at a track day at Knockhill on Sunday, great day , car was faultless all day, withthe oil cooler reinstated and the new heavier oil, i had no issues with oil pressure/tempreture all day, . I eventually ran out of petrol after doing 8 sessions on track, so very happy with how its running

normally there 5 or 6 of us there, but most of the turbod cars never made it, just me and IMSY who destroyed his GT30 turbo on the day, so its away getting a rebuild in time for the 2nd round of the Scottish Sports and Sallons championship on May 5th and 6th

Oner of my mates, Stevie " The Beard" was in the car for some passenger laps, Stevie has bought IMSYs old Fiesta, and when we are at Crail for the Performance Ford day , we raced up the quarter mile with Stevie beating me by 0.2 second in the wet, but the boys where giving me some stick all day and at our RS meet the following wednesday, so time for some revenge. We went to a track nite and I absolutely mullered him round Knockhill, and Ive been saying to him " corners, its separates the men from the beards" as much as I could, bit of friendly banter.

So i took him out round the circuit to show him what his Fiesta is capable of doing round the corners, as his car has very similar suspension set up, he just needs to grow a set of balls

Also on the day I was dicing with a PUG 205 with Mi16 turbo conversion, which got a bit close at times

The problem Ive always had was I was always trying to improve the car all the time, but looking at it now, its the best its looked and the best its went, and if i can get some reliabity out of it , then ill be happy

Its never gona be the quickest car on track, but if I can go out there and destroy quicker cars and give others a good run for their money and have a good day, that will do for me

Time to enjoy using the car, and scaring the absolute crap out the passengers

Im off to Knockhill tomorrow for a track day, so i got he new slicks i bought fitted to the comps and fitted onto the car





Had my wheels refurbed on the mondeo too, as they where looking a little tatty, and fitted new tyres to them too, Falkens think thyre a good tyre for the money. Nice picture of the Fiesta on the trailer all ready for Knockhill tomorrow



Also bought a set of Dunlop wets too, and bought back the AZEV As from my mate Stevie , painted them white with an aerosol , dont look too bad





Also fitted a new sunstrip to the car that all the guys in the West of Scotland RSOC track division will have fitted to the cars



Ill upload some videos tomorrow of the track action, its a Ford event , so should be plenty cars to have a wee race with on track

Hope you get a dry session, slicks when warmed were another league to 888's or other road legal tyres, I've never tried wets yet but would be another step forward, look forward to vid's

slicks took a bit of getting used to again, takes a coupleof laps to heat them up before the grip, and even then your still not sure wether they will grip the first time you go into a quick corner. After a couple of sessions kinda got a bit of confidence in them, and was trying a bit harder later in the day

here some incar footage from today. This footage includes a massive moment at almost 100 mph when my mate Andy burst an oil line on his escort Cosworth at the fastest part on the circuit

Was a bit of a 'moment' its things like that which makes me think how people risk their expensive every day road car on trackdays easy to slip on oil into a barrier or something.
