Yes BMW will be going up for sale in the next couple of weeks, couple of things need doing to make it ready for sale, nothing serious , just wanna make it the best it can be when it does go up for sale

summer is coming , and the weather up here has been nice the last few weeks,so hope it sells no probs. we have had the car 8 years , and its been a great servant to us, and still going strong. Still a very nice car with all the toys in it , and drives faultlessly

Is that the 170bhp 2.2 straight 6? If so my dads bmw has that engine, very good engine and i found plenty of pull even at high speed.

Ill have a good look at factory fittings, cheers.

mudflap clamps on ebay louis and some screws in the archliners and its sorted.

Lou its the straight six 2.2 , theyre good, but its a heavy car with the hardtop , so no real perfromance

the six cylinder engines can use a wee bit of oil, and if youi stop and start it again quickly , and start it again, it can sometimes glaze the bores, and you loose compression, had it happen once when moving the car about 3 feet , and wouldnt start again, no compression. Had to take all the plugs out , pour some oil down the bores, turn it over , refit the plugs and away it goes, pain in the RS

Anyways back to Fiestas

Pick my wheels back up today, i decided at the 11th hour to do both sets Gold, and the powdercoater sent me a text this morning with a pic of the first set done( he was supposed to have them done for yesterday ) so theyre looking good. Ill get pics up tomorrow when fitted

Also bought a Safeline Fire system for the car, Ive been threatining to do it for years , and I bought a brand new kit off ebay for not a lot of money,, guy had bought it and never fitted it, so ill do that this week



so cars nearly ready for Sunday, looking forward to it

Good stuff, what does the kit do?

in the event of a fire underbonnet , or inside the car, pull the handle and get out the car quick

it has 2 nozzles , one for the drivers footwell, and the other for under the bonnet located at the carbs, so heaven forbid it does go on fire, ive maybe half a chance of saving the car

That's good equipment then, better than a plain fire extinguisher lol.

Wheels look good, can't wait to see them on.

cheers Lou , really a no brainer fitting it, and i only paid £62 for the full kit , so bargain of the year

been working on it today , getting the fire extinguisher system fitted and plumbed in/

The only place it could really fit due to the length of the pull cords, but its nice and discreet, and i can pull the pin before i go out on track, and replace it again when i come in, incase someone pulls the outside cord and dumps the extinguisher



The pull cords, one outside , one inside. The bracket for inside i just painted quick, and i reordered more carbon film, so hopefully here before Saturday, if not it dont look too bad until the film arrives






The nozles for the system, one under the bonnet , the other inside the car facing towards the driver low down, protect my crown jewels





so tomorrow wheels on the car , get it back off the axle stands , give it a wash and polish , and clean inside, and i should be good to go,ill get some pics up of the wheels on the car

OK guys, thats the car officially finished, ( bet youve heard that before )

Thats the wheels all fitted, and i cleaned and hoovered it all out, wierd hoovering the dash Ive got to say

Interior with it all cleaned and harnesses fitted






What do yous think, not 100% on the wheels , but it will grow on me Im sure
