well i finally went to collect

well a bargain is what i think ! it cost me 110 wit ecu nd maf even though ecu is wrong one !

but i got 2litre

jst wondering im thinkin of paintin block ect so i can see if any leaks occur or anything like tht any ideas on wat paints ect

i do have some hammerite in shed would tht do ?

well heres a small 2litre update!

i got cambelt kit , and si water pump fitted them !

glad i got new cambelt as old tensioner had crack in and also had no spring on it to operate ! lol


well heres some pics its also had cvh oil filter put onto it !


hopefully in weeks time i shall be fitting it into the car !

small update !


as i finally had some money after a little trip to bank to sort it out !

i had some money left to buy some paint so that i could paint the block ! also got last remaining parts ! auxilury belt, sump gasket (gotta collect on tuesday) and also frm ft sorted out manifold frm xr3i lol ! also goaty is sorting ecu out !

i decided as the cam cover is red and also i have the red theme goin to the drums and caliers aswell i thought well why not paint it RED lol

engine is goin to be fitted after bank holiday monday hopefully ! nd i mite not even need to hire a crane as my unlce said he had 2lol !

well finally got the 2litre under way and started to strip engine bay of wat is not needed and would be in the way
heres a few pics











well even tho i managed to get most of the prep work done in preperation of my hoist im borrowing !

i was unable to undo the bolts tht hold up wishbones ect ! found them to be very tight and i even managed to crack a socket as thts how hard they are to remove !
and as i was unable to do that i will no longer be dropping the engine out instead i shall be lifting it out and leaving the si gearbox firmly in the car (due to being unable to remove driveshafts)

any ideas on wat to try let me kno otherwise leaving box in lol !

drown it in wd40 and use a big bar should do the job, other than that mate good luck with the conversion
