want to use the head as its a stage 2 ported n polished item iv got it was the inlet manifold i meant to write earlier :doh:
need to kno wot happens with the original ecu
do i replace it with after market management?
wot carbs are good?
wher do i get an adapter to fit the zetec head?
etc
any and all info is good lol

looks like i need to do my research on management as i hav no clue lol
wot im after is to rebuild my engine
add carbs and i want a management unit that runs everything
does this mean i can replace my deep ecu with an aftermarket item?
prices on that site look reasonable aswel
was expecting abit more than that so all is swell :thumbsup:
also thinkin of green wheels green arch lips green fog surrounds and a green cage as the car is only goin to be used for track n shows n the odd summer thrash
with my long journey to work its wise not to use somethin thats gonna rape me on fuel

if your 100% going to go for carb's you can use megajolt, its basically an ignition only part of the megasquirt

when you get the megasquirt you can buy a pigtail loom which you can wire in or you can do what im doing and order an adapter board from the states and it'll plug right into your standard for ecu connector :D

mines going to be plug and play, i'm keeping my 2.0 ecu as a just incase i have issues with the ms! :thumbsup:

i am gettin carbs as ther cheap enough and offer quite a big chunk in power

i want management that will enable me to get it all mapped up
is that even possible on carbs?

can get it mapped at the scooby clinic which is only round the corner from my house

yup, i'll basically unplug my ford ecu and play my ms ecu in and get it mapped and then use that, if anything goes tits up then its there to be swapped over :D

yeah its possible, but i think with carbs its more getting the carbs jetted and the ignition set up correctly

look for chester sports centre they do a carb kit!

Guys at chester are VERY good, im good friends with them from my kit car building days :) I speak to them all the time at shows. They have a nice mk2 fiesta with 2 litre running on carbs. Its LOVELY! The cat/supercat is what i used to build.

Anyway, having used these bits before, its totally worth :)

i'm pretty sure they supply you with a megajolt ecu to control the ignition timing, your deep ecu wouldnt work with carbs ;)

Yeah they will, speak to Graham if you can, hes a top bloke. I've talked to him for hours before :)

Oh and the ECU is the little red box. Megajolt is so easy to work with, i used to love going out for drives in the cats then go back to the workshop, fine tune the map then take it out again. Software to for it is free too ;)

right then not updated in a long time

unfortunately i have no pics but ill try get some up tomorrow

right then today iv taken the cam cover off and i was greeted by this 'kcfz2001'

checked the net and they are fast road kent cams.

question is, are they jus the cams or isit the kit? i.e. followers and springs?

the part number for the kit is kcfz2001k but i dont know if that is actually stamped on the cams in the kit? :? any help?

also iv worked my way down to the crankcase breather and had it off,
does anyone know a method of cleaning these?

oh and iv also got some mk6 rs2000 rims in good nick for little money :thumbsup:

painting the car over the next month or so and i think you shall all be shocked

more to come

mate my laptop got some silly malware shit on and my ps3 is at sony being repaired cos the hardrive is fooked or summat

good thing i got 3yr warranty :D

iv been scanning the forums but not loggin in while i had the malware its a bitch not being able to post :doh:

right then iv always known the bk end was abit funny but it has been bodged back together so its going
im gonna strip it of a couple of things i.e. cylinder head, chip, cams, exhaust, wheels and brakes

im gonna be after another si if i can find a good un if not i think a mk2 fez is a good choice

Quite a shame, atleast another si will replace it. I like no 2s but I couldnt be arsed working out how to get a zetec in there lol.

Is the shell rotten as it would be worth keeping it than going pot look trying to find another one in good condition

the shell itself is one the cleanest iv seen lol
no knackered arches chasis rails etc but the rear end has been fiddled with as you saw at mine that time lol :homo:

iv jus had enough of the issues and want to buy a running car lol
