im really tempted to spray my fez now. did you find it difficult? and could you tell me how much is cost etc and what you needed and how long it took

i thought it was easy, obviously its not a professional job

got the compressor for £150, primer, paint & laquer all in £60 or thereabouts, i spreada it over 4 weeks or so but i was only working on the car every so often.

as long as you make sure the prep work is good is should be ok, i used 2k paint which is more toxic than cellulose but gives a far superior finish.

if 2k isnt available anymore what would i use? where did you get the equipment etc?

and for the prep, is that just a lot of rubbing down etc?

it is still available from the above seller aswell as others

i got all my stuff from ebay, compressor (from Germany), primer, paint and laquer.

prep is alot of rubbing down, filling any dent/scratches, primer, rubbed down, a light dusting of paint, followed by more paint, then laquer, i gave 2 coats of each, primer, paint and laquer, may not be the correct way but its how i did it

went to the scrappies today for some "wants", stuff that i done need but want

a steering wheel, centre console and some mk4 a pillar trims

this is them in their dirty state, ive since cleaned them and theyve come up a treat (will post) those pics tomorrow.

the wheel looks in pristine condition, didnt notice how many mile it had done but dont reckon it was high, the wheel came from a mk4

also won this on flea bay for £1.99
