Yea damn shows!



Well i don't think i could afford to run 2 cars, i'll have to see how everything pans out between now and then.

If i have a decent payrise (heres hoping) and a cheaper mortgage, yeah as it will be a bitch to run every day!

Yeah i can't quit another project, yesterday made me want my cabby back so much! So i am going to make sure this si is a semi done up car

Right, i have made some decisions:

1: I'm going to get the intital bodywork done, i i keep the car clean and etc, the rust should stay away and i may consider getting the car rustproofed (Around £350)
2: Mop/T-Cut/Polish entire car at some point. See if i can alot of the many scratches off the car and try and bring the bodywork up to a good standard. (£0 i have these things)
3: Touch in the chips missing paint around doors and boot to stop rust. May get them painted at some point depends on how long i am looking at keeping the car! (£10?)
4: TLC on sills. Corrosion has started, so me and rob are going to use hammerite and primer and anti rust primer and rub the sills back. Once rubbed back, anti-rust layer, primer, hammerite and over coat with 2 layers of hammerite once dry to help protect my sills (£0 rob has hammerite)
5: Once Sills are TLC'd, fit some GTi skirts (£70-90)
6: Fit the Rear Axel with new disc pads and new front brakes (£0 from rs 2000)
7: Fit the RS2000 suspension and the 40mm lowering springs
(£0 from rs 2000 and springs below)
8: Fit tow eye cover (below)
9: Fit S/S Centre and Rear Exhaust (tow eye, springs and exhaust £100)

TOTAL £530-550

These are my plans now, as i have been umming and arring (deciding) about what to do, and all the above is not a masive amount of money and less then buying a new car! Also with the house an rs of any kind that is turbo'd would be uneconomical!

Also done a bit of "silicone treating"

The rear washer was letting water through, so that was siliconed up underneath, and the access cap was siliconed on so if it leaks it won't get in the car and the rear cluster passenger side started a leak so i siliconed the seal to the car and the light to tighten the seal, but it leaked from another place, i may have broken the light!, so i siliconed up the gap between cluster and body so hopefully its now dry!

and with rusty rear arches, dodgy at times heated rear window switch, fubar'd Idle control valve, and a dented front wing and someone has keyed the bonnet a couple of times, its not really worth fixing tbh as my mum and dad have the money to get a new one, or a gti if my mum wants.

So if its confirmed as dead, it will be going cheap or i'll brake bits of it and scrap it.

IT has Zetec S early style alloys with 6mm tread tyres

Decent bootlid
modified airbox with panel filter

seems i was groosly misinformed

what my mums work colleague determined as head gasket turned out to be a fecked power steerign pipe which is pissing fluid out

Really, are people trying to give me a heart attack?
