not a happy bunny , went to pick up the car yesterday, and someone had tried to nick it because it was on the otherside of the yard in was being kept in, but it had been standing for a while and when they tried to start the car they siezed the engine, so now i have to find a new engine and still get rid of the car because the i agreed to get rid of it for them,

how could they seize the engine just by trying to start it ?

unless it had no oil etc, just trying to start it wouldnt seize it......

no wasnt my si, it was a mondeo i had been given. it the hadnt been moved in about 5 months and i think it had been dumped there, i took the head off this afternoon and its fucked, bores were full of water and oil and the pistons rocked about 3-4mm in there bores, it has to be the worst engine i have ever seen, and im used to re-building 40 year old imp and mini engines.

its is very annoying, i really need an engine now as i have just completed my application for an army commission, and id like to get a 2.0 in the car before i have to go anywhere (thats if my application is accepted)

decated the car this weekend, much better and it properly back fires now, its like a shotgun, and thats not exagerating.
the bad news is that while under the car i had a look and the rust, its really bad, i think im going to have to possible find another car and swap my mods over.
does neone know it lowSi still has his car?

Im thnkin i goin 2 get car with a 2.0 in it already, im really interested in scorteds sleeper but its probally sold. Jst weighing up th costs 2 repair my car and fit a 2.0 or 2 sell it a get a mint si with a 2.0in it already. Really my car needs a respray and some welding and a drivers door. I think im jst goin 2 have 2 wait 4 scorted 2 pm me bak.

it was bumped in the forsale section on pf the other day

so i think it might be about still! that car is a gem! it will work out cheaper imo to get another one with the work done already, rather than get yours repaired then have a 2.0 fitted

Shame about the rust... I'd say fix it, but I see your point if you can get a near minty mint shell with 2.0ltr already in it..

ive just welded my cat up. cut the top off, smash the elements out and weld it up, makes for a nice hollow rasp, and i think the weird bosal box it the middle with flow direction markings in marker pen also help. im going to try and weld up the sills tomorrow, but i think im going to buy another, already 2.0'd car and swap my mods over and sell JAD,

I found that with the cat bashed out it sounded abit poop.

Don't know why mine wont spit flames or bang much anymore, I only have a backbox with 4-2-1 manifold

she has been sold, but the guy who bought it had a 1.4 before and used this site so she will still grace these pages , now im off to the isle of white to pick up my new honda civic import with a b16b engine transplant, 185bhp of vtec fun here we come
