ok everyone had a new thermostat put in and still the heater is cold the heater matrix is red hot and ideas ppl still no joy
took it to ford they saID oh u got a modifed ai filtero nit that causin the problem i thought wtf u on about

yer they aint got a clue a mechanic by me think it somet to do wiv the flaps and casing cus when i put the matrixi n the clip broke of and theres cold air blowin round the sides of the botto mcasing any ideas |

Right, I dont have much of a clue about how it all works and where the air goes first. But I assume the air goes through the heater matrix and then out the flaps. So if the heater matrix is hot but the air coming out is cold, it must mean either: The air is somehow getting cooled down after leaving the heater matrix and getting to vent. The air is somehow bypassing the heater matrix altogether Some other air is somehow getting into the system just before the vents, maybe getting sucked in by the current of passing air and is making it cool. |
