they are binding by the sounds of it, could be the seal that returns the piston in the caliper. common fault on some cars, i'd just try and pick up a caliper from a scrapie rather than messing about if i were you. hope this helps emlyn |

i'll have a quick look at the week end but if something need replaced it going back to the garage, its still got a 3 month warranty |

A common fault i have found on Escorts is that the brake flexi blocks up so before you go buying a new caliper unbolt the flexy and try pushing the piston back into the caliper, if that goes back in then there is not a problem with the caliper and you then need to move back up the pipework right back to the Master Cylinder. |
