Help

My Si is only getting 200 miles out of a full tank and I dont think that is much for a 1.6. the book says it should do about 30 mpg on a combined run and thats about 280 miles from a tank. Mine is doing about 21 mpg! :o

I smelt the exhaust fumes today once the engine had walmed up and it smells rich. Could this be overfuling?

How can I fix this?

Does anybody else have the same problem?

I think everyone who owns an Si has this problem. Depends on how you drive it aswell. Although mine is quite bad recently for it, however, I do notice that when I use Optimax I get a hell of alot more mileage from my petrol.

the idle speed valve is attached to the inlet manifold on the left hand side, its kind off a cylinder shape, with a multiplug attached to it, i took it off mine the other day, i think u all get better petrol consumption than me mine is absolutly fubar! less than 40-30miles per quarter!

mine idle revs just below 1000, a full tank will last from sat to sat, drivin 50miles to and from work monday to friday... depends on how i drive though... Anyone notice a difference when you use an induction kit, i had one on and when i took it off the car used more fuel, at least thats what it looked like....
