hmm whats the mileage of the vehicle?
may want oil renewing / entire replacement - ?40 quid for a second hand g.box i hear.. (scotty has one).

ok on my dadsfiesta si, when he starts the engine, for about 5 odd mins while engine is warming up there is a squeaking noise, we were thinkiing its the fan belt and it could be but it sounds worse than just that, any ideas? also on some gearchanges it makes kind of a click/knocking noise, any ideas? cheers dan |

86000 miles, not too bad, has recently had a full service, yeah may get a new gearbox but he might be puttin a 2lite lump in soon so he willl need a diff gearbox then right? |

nope, you can use the same g/box
not sure on the noises. depends how you're driving it i suppose, the noise my clutch make when it goes from 1st to 2nd is a clunk  one hell of a clunk
the click could be the auto clutch adjuster on the clutch cable. nothing to worry about, just doing its job. |
