Anyone any ideas on how easy it is to change the front caliper and roughly how long it takes, Cheers. |

IF, and that's a big IF, the caliper carrier bolts come off easily enough, it's not a hard job. However, if they're rusted on, like my Fiesta was, and Sams Escort is, it'll prove more difficult. Make sure you have a blow torch handy so you can heat the bolts up to try and free them if they're stuck. It's simply a case of removing a few bolts, clamping the flexi brake hose, undoing that from the caliper, and replacing with a new caliper. Then bleed the system, and hey presto, jobs done. So about an hour tops, providing everything goes well. |
