| Post subject: | Help - Cyclic knocking noise |
My 1.6si has a cyclcic knocking noise when driving, It's not the engine as it revs fine in neutral, and the nosie is only apparent when moving. It's louder and more frequent at higher road speeds, and occurs when driving in straight lines as well as corners, It's definetly from the front of the car but i can't tell which side. I'm thinking a Wheel bearing, CV joint or maybe jsut worn tyres? Any idea how i can check it myself? |

Mine did this and it was the gearbox mounts, Not that expensive from a motor factors, £15 iirc. It could also be wishbone bushes but you would probably notice a difference in handling if it were. emlyn |

check the antil roll bar drop link other than that it will deffo be cv joint |
