i realized my error/problem today when i was fitting me second pair of cams,
the tightening sequence is 4 3 2 1
8 7 6 5
or something like that.
what i did was put all the bearings finger tight to save time, as i tighten the first bearing cap in the sequence (bearing 4), the cam piveted on the 2 exhaust valve lobes and as the end cap with the oil seal was partially done up there was no give and i basically levered the cam on the second piston exhaust valves hence the crack snapple and plop, i realized this as i was close to making the mistake again, anyways got the cams in and my car all nicely torqed + locktighted up, is a little bit rapid now
nice powerband from about 2300-6100 (kent cams state 1500-6500 under perfect conditions
)
next on the list is a 4-2-1-to sportcat
im thinking get ashley to compliment the catback system, i fitted an ashley full system to an xr2 and it was SHWEET!
also time to bleed the brakes as the rear drums seem prety much useless =/
anyways yeah i got a single kent cam floating about if anyways snappes there cams its stamped up
something along the lines of kcf1601 i cant remember exactly its in the shed
