or magnecor performance ht leads


any ideas if they really make any difference does anybody have em on there car

wats there thought of them ova the standard ones

saw this in a lax power mag a year or so ago.. the increase in price compared to the power was very marginal

i can think of better things to spend them oney on before bying performance leads. get some genuine ford ones they will be fine :)

i tend to use motorcraft ones coz they are wots supposed to be on there and you dont get much power gains from the other so called big names so i dont c the point

but i am sure someone else will say tht aftermatket ones are the dogs danggly bits :lol:

plus points = best fit, best insulation from interference, best heat resistance and relativly cheap

downsides, there not blue/red or covered in a magic sleeve like nonology ones :lol: :lol:

saying that the van has red magnecor leads :lol: :lol: and its still crap

if your serious about improving spark, coil on plug is the way forward, looks the nips :)

The point of any performance lead is to make a stronger short spark or a less powerfull longer spark, standard leads are in the middle.
you want a stronger spark(although shorter) the higher the compression of you engine.
Lower compression you get away with a less strong spark but one that last longer therefore burning more fuel.
unless your tuning your car to a known spec the performance leads arent really going to do anything.
