Post subject:  Car Electronics Problems!
Hi was wondering if anyone out there is pretty nifty with the fiesta si 1.6 zetec electronics as having problems with mine and have to admit not too sure where the best place to start looking for problems are.

Basically theres a few electronic problems with my car, ive had it for about 2 years now and the clock light has never worked - although the bulb is fine.

Then the car light alarm went and hasnt worked since, then the interior light - it works fine when switched on but doesnt come on when the doors are opened (and it is in the right switch!)

Then last year the drivers electric window wouldnt open then i had the CAM belt changed and it started working again. And now all of a sudden both electric windows wont work.

Have been looking at it today to try and solve some of these problems namely the electric windows as its crap having no windows! looked in the engine bay for any obvious worn away wires couldnt see anything.

Just wondered if anyone had any ideas - possibly they are related as it seems a lot of electrical problems,

ps its not the fuses!

car light, see if the little switches on the door shuts are full of gunk/caught on the rubbers in the close position..

other than that.. id suggest getting a multimeter and testing all the circuits of things that dont owrk

just went and checked from the outside pushing the button in it seems fine, doubt it is that to be honest as the interior light stopped coming on for both the drivers door and passengers at the same time.....but cheers anyway

probably the MAF sensor, try cleaning it
