Rite people this is a little hard to explain but basically my car is sick! When the car is jus ticking over there is a sound it’s like a chugging but once you start driving it is fine! I you go round the back of the car to the exhaust pipe and put your hand over it u can feel the air coming out and its like small amounts of air not one constant emission. If that makes any sense at all I really aint got a clue what I’m chatting But anyways I have changed the spark plugs and ht leads a few weeks ago and discovered that it had NGK spark plugs and then the other was a champion spark plugs which was bout half an inch shorter which I thought would be a reasonable explanation to the chugging! And then I replaced the ht leads as well however the chugging did not stop! Also on the pull away it is very sluggish but once I am driving along there are no problems what so ever! It is only when stationary! Any ideas would be great ppl thanks a lot joe |

Are the gaps correct on the plugs?? I know they come pre done but its always worth checking before sticking them in. Also what engine size is the car??? Did you replace the old plugs with the long Zetec style plugs??? |
