Was looking at the 2 inlet manifolds i have a 1.6 cvh item and a 1.8 zetec item and the difference is shocking no wonder the little zetec E's are so restricted zetec inlet 
CVH inlet 
both for comparason so you know its not zoomed in 
amazes me at how under engineered the early zetecs are, bloody ford |

the port sizes looks about the same overall, it's just the throttle body size thats massively different JJ |

the actual area of two zetec inlet valves is less then that of the single CVH inlet valve. The CVH was a bloddy good engine. before anyone corrects me, I know air entering the cylinder doesn't pass through the valves face, so its area is irrelevent, its it circumfrence that counts and thats where the Zetecs twin inlets beat the CVH's single inlet. |
