is it a common thing with si's to piss water all over the place? des's did it, scotty's did/does it, and now yours..

...so it decided to piss across the car park. think water pump has gone, seems to be coming from lower timing belt cover. is it a big job to change? i know timing belt needs to come off but can it been re-used? last time i looked at it it looked in good nick. gonna have a good look tomorow JJ |

speaking to others on here the belt does have to come off and be replaced idealy. The bloke with the kahns said total cost of the job was about ?250. Sure it aint the hose. I had this problem to, but it seems to have healed itself for the time being. |

I put a new cam belt on when i first got me Si with a mate it was quite a fiddly job from what i remember, theres not alot of space down there, i can't quite remember but i think the biggest pain was simply taking the plastic housing out, to get to the actual timing belt. But hopefully yours won't be such a pain, i guess its just one of them things sometimes its easy other times its NOT. |

scotts motor... it decides when to piss and sometimes holds itself for days before it burts all over the floor!
