i think you've done the right thing. from research that i've been doing recently. the standard airbox design normally works well. i've seen 380bhp cossies with standard air boxes, just a panel filter. considering it myself JJ |

i dont think its mad, just read in this months Fast Ford Magazine, that in smaller engine bays theres more chance of heat soke so they reccomend airbox with replacement panel filter. i dont have an airbox to try it with as mine came with a KnN on it! |

i think max from FT is having mine ![]() mine came with K&N.. on it although when i do the 2.0l conversion ill most likley re-locate the battery to the boot to give it a bit more room for cool air (not sure where im going todraw it from yet) |

i would have the original airbox but the old owner threw it away and left me with a crappy pipercross thing witha rip in it, so i went and got one of these, i think its a good design as it sheilds the actual filter from heat ![]() I even put one on the girlfriends fiesta ![]() ![]() |

actually, scrap that above idea. when at WOT then the induction system would partially be part of the plenum area. therefore increasing the volume of available filtered air. cant see the gains being massive though JJ |
