look under the bonnet and at the brake servo (big black round disc thing circled red in pic below) if its got green metal pipes coming of it has got ABS and vice-versa!
like mine below dosen't have ABS.

Folks, Hopefully yous can be of help.. Basically a friend has told me that her 1600 Si needs a new rear hub, or well it seems that is what she has been told. First of all Ford have been helpful but I need more info.. as the Ford guy seems to think that a Stub is required. Is it likely that a Hub or a Stub is required? She was told that the part isnt made anymore, Ford seems to disagree. I believe she went to a third party garage. Does anyone have any diagrams of the rear susp assembly? Has anyone had the same prob? Also where is the VIN/Chassis number on the car exactly? Pics would be great, just for some part sites they ask for it. |

Abs was a factory option. but AFAIK it's pretty pathetic. JJ |

Cheers mate... Ill have to find out more info as the drums vary in size depending on the presence of ABS. |

Thanks for the reply... I was really looking for a quick and easy method for checking for the ABS. As I will likely be telling them over the phone. My main thought was an ABS light on the dash? |
