I was gettin 200 miles to a tank but changed to Halfords induction kit, changed the spark plugs and poured redex into the cylinders while the plugs were out. I now get 250 miles a tank!!!
Car badly needs serviced thou. Worked out I get only 27mpg.

My Mk5 1.3 does 36 MPG
xmadxmoex... I have no idea how you manage to get 45MPG on a 1.6  You must drive slow as f*ck!

haha i never drive slow... that last 200 miles was admittedy sensible driving doing 70 mph alllll the way home from brands hatch... |

33.1mpg, pretty happy with that as I dont drive slow. Just changed the o2 sensor as this was makin it use more fuel. These go after about 60,000 miles so might be worth a thought.. |

mpg!! ha i wish! , i had i faulty temp sensor and i only put 15 quid in and took it for a good rag and fuck me!!!! u could see the petrol guage moving, 1/4 mile i could only get 105 out of the old girl but i think i need 2 get my steering sorted cos when ur doin about 90mph u have 2 hold the steering wheel on half lock 2 the left!!! i think the mpg calculator worked me out at 8.2 mpg?!?!?!?!?!? Fezzie 1.6 16v dohc beast!!!! lol
