| Post subject: | Curse of the Rusty Screws |
After my previous problems with rusty bolts on my brake caliper mounts... Got some very tightly screwed on and probably rusty screws on the hinge mounts on the bottom of the sunroof (when you take the whole thing out) I need to remove them so I can get a new seal fitted round the edge. I had a go at the weekend with some WD40 and a Phillips but its just ruining the screws and not getting them out. Any suggestions anyone?

..did i read this wrong or something? open the sunroof to the full extend (twist twist twist..) then use a flat bladed screw driver to push the red tag in on the handle (from inside looking up) the glass will then pop out (toward you) the glass can then be lifted up to 90 degrees vertical and pulled out of its slots?? enless you mean handle seal

No I meant the screws that hold the two metal tabs onto the bottom of the sunroof (at the front) The tabs slide into and out of the holes when you take the sunroof out etc |
