The vibrating is definately because of the mounts. When I had my gearbox off a few weeks back, I had a look at the gearbox mounts, they do have front and rear versions, with a tab of metal reversed on each one. When I went to Ford to ask for the front one, they want £45 :| Because they only come with the metal bracket now. I politely told them "no thanks".

As for the braking, it sounds like one of your calipers aren't working properly, if at all. It's not something you want to be taking risks with so I'd strip it down and have a look. Might be time for a new caliper.

I echo was Des said about it being the caliper. If the car is pulling to the right then it will probably be the near-side (passenger side) caliper that is seizing.

Does it look corroded?

Im not far from loughbourough Mouse and im very grateful for your offer, i have 2 spare calipers but the last time i changed or attempted to change one the flexihose snapped inside the caliper rendering both items fucked :x and knowing my luck id end up with 2 fucked calipers seeing as the spare one still has its flexi hose but its been cut...

Damn shed of a thing, other than its all good apart from it needs a pissing sprayjob

Matt black boot and rear bumper, matt black 2 new front wings, flatted down rear quarters and front 2i bumper painted with fence paint and a brush :rolleyes: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :red: :homo:

I dare not touch the calipers, the flexihoses need replacing anyway on both sides as for some reason that have chew marks in the rubber coatings and you can see the white hairy stuff underneath? only slightly though... :frown:

Really don't know, it was on fire earlier, the power steering rack is leaking and leaked on to the CAT and the fluid managed to catch fire god knows how :o :devil: :x

Wish id just let it burn now...

Steering is proper sensitive have to hold it tight.

Steering is proper springy and at idle if you rock the steering wheel the whole car rocks.

Drivers side new tyre is fucked and bald in the space of 3 days, and it squeals as you go round the slightest of right hand bends..

I dont know if its to do with the rack, the tracking or the brakes :x

didn't you fit a new rack yourself recently??

did you get the tracking / wheel alignment checked?

if i was you, i'd book the car into a proper bodyshop / accident repair center that has a 4 wheel alignment machine, that way you can check all the angles, this will also show you if the rear axle is fooked aswell.

The 4 wheel alignment is far better than just checking and adjusting the tracking as you can imagine.

Is the PAS pump ok?
Why is the steering rack still leaking? is a pipe off it?
There might be air in the system?
Did you bleed the system when you changed the rack??
