mmmm ish true well bear with me but u dont have to send the car away to get reprogramed it keeps the basic settings for the engine to run coz it has a internal battery in the ecv but on some engines i dont think the si it doesnt keep the settings coz u have to rev the engine to 2500 or just above rpm for 10 mins i think so the ecu learns the revs n all that stuff but saying that i did it any way just to make sure when i was messing about with the engine once ![]() |

The Si doesn't need reprogramming. As Mouse said it stores basic info on there to ensure the car can be run again, but it will just learn again after a short while of driving. It may run lumpy when you first start it and drive it, but give it a quick blast about and it will all be good ![]() |
